In this section you can find information about our SPOT service for children in Sefton community.
SPOT is a multi-professional therapy team consisting of Speech and Language Therapist, Physiotherapist(s) and Occupational Therapist. The service is for pre-school children aged 0-3 years with 2 or more therapy assessment requirements.
Kết quả xổ số MBSPOT is an ‘opt-in’ service. Parents /carers need to opt into the service, once they have been informed that a referral has been received and accepted.
Kết quả xổ số MBA complex needs clinic is held monthly. This is a joint clinic held with the SPOT team and a community paediatrician. These clinics are specifically for children with complex needs or in need of a diagnosis.
Once a month, sessions are held in community settings in North and South Sefton. These take place at ‘Jakes Sensory World’ in Netherton Activity Centre and ‘Little Seedlings Soft Play’ at Dobbies in Southport. These free sessions are a great opportunity to meet other families in an informal setting alongside the therapists. For further information please contact your child’s Occupational Therapist.
Kết quả xổ số MBSPOT assessments provide a coordinated developmental assessment of the children referred in a clinic setting, which allows assessment of all areas of the child’s development. Depending on the need of the child these assessments may be through observation, discussion, or completion of a standardised assessment such as the Bayley Neurodevelopmental Screening Test (if appropriate).
An initial appointment will be held in a clinic setting. This will be at one of two locations in Sefton (see below). Your home address will determine the location of your appointment.

At the first appointment, we will need to gain written consent to assessment and treatment (if indicated). So it is essential that a person with parental responsibility attends the appointment. If this is not possible, please contact the Occupational Therapy team before the appointment.

Kết quả xổ số MBAt the first appointment, the SPOT team will listen to your concerns and discuss with you the reason for referral.
Depending upon the age of your child and their needs, the therapists will complete a series of informal or standardised assessments to establish how best to support your child.
The SPOT team are aware that for some parents this can be a difficult and stressful time, especially dealing with the implications of your child’s difficulties. We understand there may also be medical complications that require regular visits to or stays in hospital, which can make coordinating SPOT appointments overwhelming. Therefore, SPOT appointments try to be as informal as possible in relaxed and welcoming environment for both you and your child.
Initial appointments are given at least 60 minutes per child.

We do appreciate that at times this is not always possible in the case of an emergency.

Kết quả xổ số MBIf you do not bring your child to an initial appointment and fail to let us know, your child will be discharged and a re-referral required.
Your child needs to attend the appointment with you for a first assessment.
You will also need to bring your completed parent questionnaire with you. This will have been sent out with your appointment letter. This helps us to gain more information about your concerns.
If your child uses any additional aids such as glasses, hearing aids or splints please make sure that these are brought with them.
After the appointment, a report will be completed with any further actions that the therapists recommend.
