Elaine stars in BBC Hospital

If you watched last week's episode of BBC Two's Hospital series, you would have seen Elaine, who is our fab WellChild Advanced Nurse Practitioner for Long Term Ventilation. Elaine has worked here since 2004 and she helps complex ill children get home and supports them whilst in hospital. She is part of the WellChild Nurses Network and the Long Term Ventilation at Home network.

Elaine really enjoys working at Alder Hey, saying:

"I really loved looking after children on Long Term Ventilation and their families. I also have worked in the community for Alder Hey and really loved seeing children thrive at home when they got the right support. This job was made for me I felt. I work with an amazing team (I may be biased but I don’t think I could work with better people), they all care for our children and their families amazingly. I love the impact my role can have whether big or small."
